Wintingo to change platforms
This week there has been some exciting news in the scratch game and slot markets with Wintingo confirming that they will be switching software platforms.
This news comes as quite a surprise as Wintingo have been successfully running the Microgaming systems and it seems that the management of the casino site have taken a strategic decision to switch platforms.
Some speculation from insiders in the online scratch cards and slots industry has been reported and majority point to the fact that Pariplay Technologies is far more suited for the scratch gaming market.
The Wintingo team have been hard at work dealing with the platform switch and confirmed yesterday that on the 3rd June 2012 they will officially migrate to the new software. I am really interested to see how and if this will affect the amount of players that they are used to seeing each week.
Some people have already expressed concern over the switch and raised a couple questions about the Microgaming style of approaching casino and casual gaming versus the relativley new Pariplay team's unique format of gaming.
I reckon that either way this move will be a deciding factor on the future success of Wintingo as a scratch cards provider and once they are fully operational under the new platform I will reassess and post my personal findings.
